Greetings Coaches Past, Present and Future!
Hard to believe after all the winter-like weather we've been having, but our summer soccer program is just around the corner, and we're asking for your help. Approximately 500 children played in the program last year, and we owe this success to your participation. The league simply wouldn't exist without volunteers like you! If you are interested in volunteering as a coach this year, here's how to do it:
Summer Soccer Frequently Asked Questions
Submitted by bobhaze on Sun, 04/20/2008 - 7:29pm. FAQ | FAQ | FAQ | FAQHere are a few answers to the most common questions about Summer Soccer. (updated 4/29/09)
Q. Is this a soccer Camp? How is it different?
A. No. This is a recreational program of games and practices that extends throughout the summer. Players will be divided into teams that will practice and compete much like a "lite" version of the travel program, except without the travel. A camp is more focused on more intensive skills development over a shorter period, typically one week. The summer program combines a more relaxed schedule of training with 8 games in friendly competition with other summer league teams. ASA is sponsoring a soccer camp the week of August 22 to August 26 in conjunction with Massachusetts Premier Soccer (MPS). MPS offer a unique camp experience, priding themselves on the high quality of staff and curriculum. All MPS male and female camp staff are licensed coaches from the United Kingdom.
