In an effort to introduce our youngest players to higher level training, Amesbury Soccer Association has teamed up with Seacoast United to offer a U6 & U8 Early Development Program (EDP) this Fall.  Our EDP is designed to develop individual skills through training U6 & U8 players.

U6 training will focus on developing a positive relationship with the game as well as the ball, mostly utilizing fun games and exercises which require soccer specific skills to be successful.  During each training coaches will leave time for game simulated play allowing players to learn how to be successful and deal with defeat.

U8 training will continue to develop a positive relationship with the ball while focusing more on each player’s confidence and comfort level with the ball at their feet.  Lots of game simulated situations will be introduced giving each player plenty of chances to score and defend during small sided play.

    Parent Volunteers & Coaches Needed!!
As you know, parent volunteers are the only reason programs like this are able to exist.  By donating your time you make the joy and education of sport possible for hundreds of players!

    Volunteer Coaches:
Seacoast United coaches will be working hand in hand with our volunteer coaches to help make all involved as comfortable and confident as possible.  An hour prior to the 1st training session SUSC coaches will run a mandatory coaches clinic going over philosophy & approach while offering exercise and game suggestions.  SUSC coaches will also run your 1st training session while you watch/participate as an example for you to follow for the remaining weeks of the program.  An SUSC coach will also be present to hold a mandatory coaches meeting 15 minutes prior to each session and oversee the remaining weeks of the program.

Please register through SportsPilot to coach using the same link as shown above if you wish to support OUR program.  We will contact you prior to the start of the program with details.

Please contact Carolyn Scarinci at  carolynragoscarinci@hotmail.com  if you have any questions.
