 Spring U6/U8 Development Program

Amesbury Soccer Association and Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association will be hosting a U6/U8 Development Program this Spring.  In this program children ages 4 - 8 will play activities designed to develop their soccer skills and they will participate in inter-group small sided games.  The program will be held Saturday mornings from 8:15 - 9:15 for U6, and 9:30 - 10:30 for U8 at Woodsom Farm.  Dates for the program are:

Because of the weather cancellations the Spring 2010 U6/U8 Development Program will be extended to Saturday, May 22nd and Saturday June 5th.

Amesbury Youth Soccer tryouts will be held on Wednesday, June 2nd and Thursday, June 3rd for U12 and U14 Boys and Girls for the 2010-2011 Travel Season at the Woodsom Farm Fields.   Tryouts and player assignments will be carried out as specified in ASA Operating Procedures.

U12 tryouts will be from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm; U14 will be from 6:30 - 8:00. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of tryouts to sign in.  Wear appropriate soccer practice gear (shin guards; socks, cleats, shorts) and bring a water bottle.  At least one night of tryouts are encourage even if you only plan on playing during the Spring Travel Season.  A signed registration form is needed for the tryouts.   Fees are not necessary if the player is undecided or not playing if Fall.    Fall registration is not considered complete until all requirements mentioned below are met.

ASA Fall Soccer

It's time for Fall Travel Soccer Registration!  Teams need to be submitted to Essex County Youth Soccer Association on July 12th.

For those who may be new to Amesbury Travel Soccer, in Travel Soccer the teams play 8 games in a season. 4 games are in Amesbury, 4 games are in another town in Essex County. The games are played on Saturdays and start on the first Saturday following Labor Day. There are generally 2 practices a week about 1.5 hours long. The days of the practices is dependent on the coach's availability

COACH'S MEETING:  We will meet this Wednesday, the 9th, in the Cashman Elementary School cafeteria at 6:30p.  If you can't make it (this isn't an option for youth volunteers) please let me know so we can pass along any info we distribute.

COACH CLINIC AND COOKOUT EVENT:  Will be held this Friday from 6:00p to 7:30p at Woodsom Farm fields (by the shed).  Please join us for an informative session hosted by the coaches of Seacoast United.  They will be speaking briefly on coaching youth soccer and demonstrating fun drills for your teams to use!  Bring your kids (the coaches will use them to demonstrate the drills) and your appetite.  Bob Hazelwood will be flipping a mean burger and dog...
